By Art Sanchez, Campaign Manager, Anna Bryson for State Assembly 2014
This is the 7th in a series of blog posts “Setting the Record Straight on Anna Bryson”
Numerous times, blogger Aaron Park of the Brough camp put forth claims that Anna had supposedly committed “violations” of the Brown Open-Meeting Act. Park says (4/23/14), for example, that “Bryson got caught with her finger in the Brown Act Cookie Jar.”
(This “cookie jar” phrase is a cliché that Park uses often, when he doesn’t have anything accurate to say.)
Joseph M. Farley, then-Superintendent of Capistrano Unified School District, describes that happened when the OC DA’s office looked into an allegation of supposed “violations” of the Brown Act:
“The [School] District produced a report of approximately 550 pages of information and exhibits that negated such a contention.” After that, “the District Attorney’s office did not pursue the matter further.”
The claim of Brown Act “violations” was another mud-slinging smear from the Brough camp.
