The Republican challenger for the 65th Assembly District, Young Kim, is hosting a General Election Campaign Kickoff BBQ on Saturday, August 2, 2014, from 12 noon to 4 pm.
The BBQ will be held at Kim’s campaign office, located at 7700 Orangethorpe Ave, Suite 4, in Buena Park. Please email Bryan@YoungKim2014.com to RSVP.
Kim edged out the Democratic incumbent in the 65th A.D., Sharon Quirk-Silva, in the June Primary Election this year by about 3,500 votes, according to Smart Voter. Experts are predicting low Democratic Party voter turnout in the upcoming November General Election which means that Kim has a good shot at taking this seat.
Quirk-Silva voted as a liberal throughout her first term in office – a move that could backfire in the runoff election in November.
