Libertarian Voter Registration Continues To Grow In California!
June 1, 2014 – With only one day to go before the June 3 2014 Primary Elections, California’s latest tally of voter registration continues to show Libertarian Party voter registration inching upward. Some California counties recorded dramatic increases in Libertarian voter registration, which can be tracked in real time at websites shown below.
According to California’s latest 15-day Report of Registration (published Friday, May 29), Libertarian Party voter registration increased again, this time by 2,077 voters, since the April 4, 2014 report. Libertarian Party voter registration in California has continually increased ever since the re-election of President Obama.
The increase happened despite California’s questionable Top Two Primary Elections law, which puts all candidates for partisan offices at a near-insurmountable disadvantage if they’re not Democratic and Republican Party candidates. In spite of the daunting challenge the election laws raise, Libertarian Party voter registration in California has risen by 22,113 voters since the two-month period before the 2012 Presidential Elections. That’s an average increase of 851 Libertarian voter registrations each month for 26 months since right before the 2012 Presidential Election.
Clearly, a healthily growing number of Californians prefer social tolerance and fiscal responsibility over government intrusions into their families, their personal lives, and their businesses. They want to live in a prosperous and free California without such impositions as government-controlled schooling, profit-killing business regulations, and unequal laws. Be sure to share LPC’s ballot statement, published in the Official Voter Information Guide, with your family and friends.
Los Angeles, Orange, Placer, Riverside, and Sacramento Counties each gained between 101 and 277 new Libertarian Party voter registrations since the April 4 Report of Registration, making gains of between 1% and 4%. Voters in these counties can follow the excitement as they are reported at these websites.
