The Richard Nixon Presidential Library Foundation is offering free admission to the Richard Nixon Presidential Library on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26, and they are having a special event featuring Marine Corps General James Mattis, Former Head of Central Command, as well as a spectacular patriotic concert featuring the Placentia Symphonic Band.
The free event will include:
11:30 am – Wreath Laying Ceremony
Featuring Presentation of the Colors, performances by the 1st Marine Division Brass Quintet, a 21-gun salute, the rendering of TAPS, and remarks by the Commander of the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force Lt. Gen. John Toolan.
1:30 pm – Commemoration Ceremony
Keynote remarks by Gen. Mattis, introduced by former National Security Advisor Robert “Bud” McFarlane in the White House East Room.
3:30 pm – Spectacular Patriotic Concert
Americana favorites by the 90-piece Placentia Symphonic Band.
