As District Director for Assemblyman Travis Allen, Emanuel has helped achieve major public policy victories and common sense government reforms. In dealing with several contentious debates – including a proposed ban on Orange County’s Fire Rings, as well as Styrofoam use in Huntington Beach – he successfully reached out to the community and community leaders to achieve a balance between environmental/coastal concerns, a growing economy and the rights of the public. This creative consensus-building is needed more than ever in Sacramento.
Previously, Emanuel served as a Policy Advisor in the State Senate. During this time, he took unpaid leaves to work on the successful campaign to defeat a recall effort of State Sen. Jeff Denham, as well as winning efforts on behalf of Tony Strickland for State Senate – some of the GOP’s most significant wins of the previous few years.
Emanuel came to America with his family after escaping from totalitarian Romania, before working his way through school and graduating from the University of California Riverside, where he received a degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Political Science.
He is also the founder of several Orange County small businesses. In addition, he is actively involved in his community, where for the past two years he has served as President of the Orange County Young Republicans and sits on the Orange County Trauma Intervention Program Advisory Board and works closely with local Chambers of Commerce and the American Legion.
Emanuel and his wife live in Laguna Beach, with their son.
