LAGUNA NIGUEL – This past Saturday, an overflowing crowd of volunteers helped celebrate the campaign office grand opening for Laguna Niguel Councilman Robert Ming’s campaign for Orange County Supervisor, Congressman Dana Rohrabacher’s reelection campaign and Laguna Niguel Mayor Linda Lindholm’s campaign for Orange County Board of Education.
The addition of Rohrabacher to Ming’s endorsements reinforces the strength of Ming’s support. Rohrabacher joins a long list of Ming endorsements, including Board of Supervisors Chairman Shawn Nelson, Senate Republican Leader Bob Huff, and more Mayors, City Council Members, business leaders, and community members than any other Fifth District candidate.
“Robert Ming is the type of leader we need for Orange County,” said Rohrabacher. “He’s a dedicated family man and principled conservative who stands up for what he believes. South County residents can trust Robert to oppose tax increases and work to make sure county government is more efficient and more accountable.”
While Ming continues to dominate in both endorsements and fundraising, the strength of Saturday’s opening shows that he has strong grassroots support as well. In the coming weeks, Ming and a dedicated team of volunteers will be knocking on the doors of thousands of Fifth District voters.
Robert Ming was born and raised in Orange County. He and his wife Susie have been married for 21 years and have four children. Professionally, Ming is Senior Vice President and Associate General Counsel at Jefferies, an international brokerage firm. Ming is a two-time Mayor of Laguna Niguel, was the Founding President of the Association of California Cities, and has served on numerous non-profit and charitable boards.
Robert Ming is running for Orange County Supervisor in the 5th District, currently represented by Supervisor Pat Bates, who is leaving due to term limits. Orange County’s 5th District includes the cities of Aliso Viejo, Dana Point, Laguna Beach, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, as well as the community of Shady Canyon in Irvine and the unincorporated communities of Coto de Caza, Ladera Ranch, Las Flores, and Wagon Wheel.
