Extension of Candidate Filing Period for the Statewide Direct Primary Election
When incumbents do not file for re-election the filing period is extended.
SANTA ANA, CA – March 7, 2014 – The Registrar of Voters announced today that the nomination period has been extended until March 12, 2014, 5:00 p.m. for the offices listed below because the incumbent failed to file Nomination Papers by the March 7, 2014 deadline.
Any qualified person, other than the incumbent, can now file the Nomination Papers until March 12, 2014, 5:00 p.m., in the office of the Registrar of Voters, 1300 South Grand Avenue, Building C, Santa Ana, California.

8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

CONTESTS THAT HAVE HAD THE CANDIDATE FILING EXTENDED:
- United States Congress, 45th District
- State Assembly, 74th District
- County of Orange Auditor-Controller
Upon receipt of information from the Secretary of State there may be extended State Constituional and State Senate contests.
