2014 June Primary Notice of Election
List of Orange County offices to be filled at upcoming election
SANTA ANA, CA – February 5, 2014 – Today the Registrar of Voters’ released the list of elective offices to be filled in the upcoming June 3, 2014 Primary Election.
Nomination Papers may be obtained at the Orange County Registrar of Voters’ office beginning on February 10, 2014 and must be filed in our office by March 7, 2014, 5:00 p.m. Offices for which candidates may be nominated or elected at the Statewide Direct Primary Election include:
Congressional Districts – 38th, 39th, 45th, 46th, 47th, 48th; and 49th; State Constitutional Offices – Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, Controller, Treasurer, Attorney General, Insurance Commissioner, and Member of the State Board of Equalization-4th District; State Senate Districts – 32nd, 34th and 36th; State Assembly Districts – 55th, 65th, 68th, 69th, 72nd, 73rd , and 74th; State Superintendent of Public Instruction; County Superintendent of Schools; Orange County Board of Education Trustee Areas – 2nd and 5th; Orange County Supervisorial Districts – 2nd, 4th, and 5th; County Offices – Assessor, Auditor-Controller, Clerk-Recorder, District Attorney-Public Administrator, Sheriff-Coroner, and Treasurer-Tax Collector; and 36 Judicial Offices of the Orange County Superior Court.
A Special Election will also be consolidated with the June 3, 2014 Statewide Direct Primary Election to fill one short-term seat on the Irvine Unified School District Board of Education. To qualify for the office of Irvine Unified School District Governing Board Member, the candidate must be a registered voter in the Irvine Unified School District at the time of issuance of Nomination Papers.
