Steve Jackson, Institute on the Constitution lecturer, will discuss his upcoming presentation on the 13 key foundational principles found in our Declaration of Independence and the ideals and doctrines contained in the U.S. Constitution that are essential to our nation’s survival on Saturday, January 18, 2014, from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m., at Covenant Presbyterian Church, located at 1855 N. Orange-Olive Road, in Orange.
Mr. Jackson teaches a 12-week course on the Constitution at Calvary Chapel Bible College and for various political groups throughout California. By special request, he has created a 2-part, 1½ hour condensed presentation:
1) “Laying the Foundation” – America’s exceptionalism and success results from adherence to 13 key foundational principles clearly stated in our Declaration of Independence. It’s what every citizen needs to know about America’s birth certificate and national heritage.
2) “Organizing the Powers” – Our country’s survival and our individual freedoms depend on how much we know about the ideals and doctrines contained in the U.S. Constitution. “The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people; it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government,” wrote Patrick Henry. Middle school through college age students will particularly benefit from this presentation, but so will adults who wish they had paid more attention during civics classes, instead of taking our God-given form of government and our liberties for granted. Bring your children and grandchildren to reclaim America’s future. This event is free and open to the public. (Attendance verification available for students who are being offered extra credit.)

In related news, Robert Hammond, Trustee with the Orange County Board of Education will apparently be on That Radio Show with Steve Jackson on Monday, January 6, 7 p.m., as he attempts to explain his belief that his Board colleagues expect him to “surrender certain U.S. Constitutional Rights and enforce every law passed the Congress or the State Legislature.” Call in during the show at 646.478.3793.
