Is a Labor Union using the Voice of OC to exploit the Cunningham controversy and unfairly attack Republicans? On KPCC radio, Voice of OC reporter Adam Elmahrek repeatedly referred to Matt Cunningham as a conservative blogger and, incredibly, went on to say he is “representative of the mainstream GOP”. This is very strange because Adam Elmahrek is a very good reporter who knows that Cunningham’s current blogging activity has nothing to do with conservatism, or any ideology. But Adam Elmahrek is a young reporter in a tough economy employed by a new agency funded by the Orange County Employees Association (OCEA).
And that is not it, yesterday OCEA’s General Manager Nick Berardino singled-out Republican Supervisor Todd Spitzer for criticism, calling on him to remove Cunningham from the Parks Commission. Yes, Supervisor Spitzer appointed Matt Cunningham to the Commission; but surely someone who has been around as long as Mr. Berardino could think of a better person, a more responsible person, than Supervisor Spitzer.
I am not going to name names because we are in the middle of the holidays. I recommend looking into just who benefited from Anaheim Blog. Supervisor Spitzer surely did not, but the same cannot be said for some Democrats.
