Orange County Registrar of Voters Releases Customer Service Results for Cypress Special Election
Comparative Data Now Available for Seven Major Elections
SANTA ANA, CA – October 25, 2013 – The Registrar of Voters released results today of eight customer service surveys taken during the City of Cypress Special Municipal Election held on June 25, 2013.
During the City of Cypress Special Municipal Election extensive surveys were used to gather data on eight levels of service provided by the Registrar of Voters. Written and telephone surveys were distributed to various participants and stakeholders. Overall, the results of this survey reflected extremely well on the operations and service provided. In line with the continual improvement philosophy of the department, areas of improvement have been noted and have been addressed for the upcoming 2014 election cycle..
Highlights of the report include – A sharp reduction in the number of first time poll workers compared to previous elections; Supply Distribution results indicate a desire for poll workers to receive supplies for smaller elections using the same method as in larger elections; High scores for customer service provided by our poll worker phone banks; Field Coordinators’ and back-up poll workers overall experience serving in the election rated positively.
The goal of the City of Cypress Special Municipal Election survey report is to analyze the quality of service provided to the citizens of Orange County by comparing the data to the May 2009 Special Election, the 2009 72nd Primary and General Special Election, the June 2010 Primary Election, the November 2010 General Election, the June 2012 Primary Election and the November 2012 General Election. The Registrar of Voters continually strives to provide exceptional customer service and the data presented in this report reflects that our efforts have been worthwhile.
The surveys include (but are not limited to) poll worker training, poll worker experiences on Election Day, equipment delivery to polling places, education programs, and poll worker customer service.
