Orange County CEO Mike Giancola slithered off the hook today when a Superior Court judge dismissed a lawsuit by a former County employee, Kathleen Tahilramani, who alleged she had been retaliated against and harassed while working for Giancola during his tenure as director of the County’s Waste & Recycling Agency, according to a County of Orange press release.
Judge John C. Gastelum granted the County’s motion for summary judgment in full.
Tahilramani, who had worked as Human Resources manager for OC Waste & Recycling, has 60 days to appeal the decision. The County denied any wrongdoing.
County supervisors appointed Giancola as CEO on May 7. Supervisors praised his 34 years of County service and noted that a thorough outside investigation had found no substantiation for any of Tahilramani’s claims.
The Supervisors did not of course tell us about Giancola’s other issues – which we reported here.
