The Republican Party of Orange County is going nuts this week on their email newsletter – attacking the Voice of OC in some frenzied attempt to protect Orange County Supervisor Janet Nguyen – perhaps the most corrupt of our current crop of Supervisors (and a bad mom too – she recently endangered her toddler at a parade).
Here is what the OC GOP posted in their newsletter:
The Voice of OC(EA) Blog claims to be a legitimate news site. Recent revelations have exposed its funding as being nearly entirely from the Orange County Employees Association, liberal groups and Democratic donors. A complete study of the Voice of OC’s coverage of Orange County Republican Supervisor Janet Nguyen reveals that the blog is anything but balanced. The shift to strictly negative stories about Nguyen began right about the same time her name started being mentioned for higher office.
Then they went on to explain that the Voice of OC published 43 negative stories about Nguyen in 2012, but didn’t publish any negative posts about her in 2010. And of course they haven’t published a positive story about her this year – but how could they? She has been a huge train wreck for several years now!
Of course the OC GOP failed to mention that Nguyen became a Supervisor because the OCEA paid a fortune for a recount that ultimately saw her declared the winner in a very tight race, by a handful of votes. And she brutally took over the CapOptima Board last year and then immediately started squeezing the medical and healthcare community for campaign donations. This has since caught the attention of both the FBI and the FPPC. And the Republican spinners didn’t let their readers know that Nguyen also recently got caught taking money from the OCEA through a PAC. Give it back Janet! Of course she won’t.
A friend of mine in the Democratic Party told me last week that his party is not going to attack her as they know what a train wreck she is and they want her to stay in the race. They are deathly afraid that the Republicans might actually try to recruit a better candidate.
I guess that makes sense but oh how I would love to see Nguyen getting slammed by the DPOC. I guess we will have to wait until the 2014 Open Primary for that.
By the way – the Democrats think so little of Nguyen that they are far more afraid of that hack Jim Silva. They should be more afraid of SAUSD Trustee Cecilia Iglesias. She would give the Democratic candidate, Jose Solorio, a real run for the money. But Nguyen? She is toast. It is just a matter of time…
