Aliso Viejo Mayor Carmen Cave issued another publicity nugget yesterday in her Mayor’s Message for September, touting, or plagiarizing the popular movie, Pay It Forward.
The irony is that Cave has been working hard to instead, have taxpayers “Pay For It.” In recent months, Cave has been moving her re-election campaign forward by boasting that the City of Aliso Viejo will be paying for the new Boys and Girl’s Club at a cost to taxpayers of $19M.
In a recent OC Register article, the city’s entire budget was cited at $23M, with existing debt on Cave’s city hall purchase of $8M.
So where is all of this money to build a new Boy’s and Girl’s Club supposed to come from? Of course, the taxpayers.
It’s obviously campaign season again, as politicians like Carmen Cave try to polish the tarnish off their reputations. The voters should not pay the tab for Aliso Viejo’s Mayor, and her attempts at re-election.
Shameful to see Cave try to guilt the voters as she spends tax dollar for her own pet project.
Carmen needs to focus on getting a job. Between her and Phil Tsunoda, all they do is look for special interests that will secure them votes for the upcoming election. Every action they do is only based on how it will benefit them…NOT the people of Aliso Viejo. The City needs a change. Carmen and Phil are acting like the previous council members of the City of Bell.
