The Orange County Voter Registrar has launched a new “Online Legislation Tracker” that brings all state and federal election bills into one location, with detailed summaries, real-time updates, election organization positions, full text, social media capabilities, and more.
You can search state and federal bills by category, author, bill number or keyword searches. You’ll see a summary of the bill, author and status, or you can expand the display to see full details. Now you can see what is happening in the world of election legislation in one location – with a new archives section as well.
In addition to the Legislation Tracker they have peeled apart the California Elections Code and designed an exclusive category look-up system. Now you can select a category, such as “ballots”, then drill down even further to refine your search, such as “watermarks”, and see and explore the appropriate code sections. You can also search through keywords or the table of contents and connect code sections with people on Facebook or Twitter.
They have designed the process of searching the Elections Code through the eyes of election administrators – with tools that can be used in election operations on a daily basis.
