State’s Top Assembly Fundraiser Earns Bob Pacheco’s Endorsement
WALNUT, CA – – Republican candidate and top fundraiser for Assembly in the State, Phillip Chen announced receiving the endorsement of Former Republican Assemblyman Bob Pacheco today. Bob Pacheco represented Los Angeles, Orange County and San Bernardino district until 2004. Campaign reports recently filed showed Chen to be the state’s top Assembly fundraiser for 2013, with $334,000 raised through June 30.
“Bob Pacheco is highly respected throughout our district for his conservative leadership and strong belief in our free enterprise system,” said Chen. “I am honored to have his support.”
Pacheco is a Presidential appointee under former President George W. Bush and the past Chair of the Hispanic Republican Caucus. He is currently a member of the Walnut City Council. He and his wife, Gayle, own a local manufacturing company.
Phillip Chen is the leading candidate in the 55th district. In addition to serving as a reserve Sheriff Deputy Phillip is an elected member of the Walnut Valley Unified School District Board of Trustees, a professor at USC, a small business owner, and a healthcare advisor to Supervisor Mike Antonovich. The 55th Assembly District is currently represented by Assemblyman Curt Hagman who is prohibited from running again because of term limits.
