The Democratic Party of Orange County is hosting a fundraiser tonight, July 20, 2013 at 6:30 pm, that they are calling “Lifting the Orange Curtain.” I am not sure what the heck they mean by that! I have not found Democratic elected officials in Orange County to be any more transparent or less corrupt than their Republican counterparts.
This fundraiser will be hosted during the California Democratic Party Executive Board meetings in Costa Mesa.
I suppose the Democrats are pleased that they took the 65th Assembly District away from Chris Norby, when Fullerton’s Sharon Quirk-Silva picked up that seat last November. But she will have a tough fight on her hands in 2014, and the OC GOP will also be going after the 34th State Senate District. The Democrats gave Janet Nguyen a free pass last year so now she may end up taking the 34th.
