The OC and CA Labor Federations held a meeting this week to meet the candidates for office here in Orange County. As one might expect, Tom Daly, the Democratic nominee for the 69th Assembly District failed to show up but he asked for their endorsement anyway. It turned out to be an epic fail for Daly.
Daly was completely rejected – and he should be. This two-faced hack says one thing to the Labor Federation then he goes over to the OC Taxpayers Association and says something else altogether. There is evidence, for example, that Daly has supported privatizing government jobs. Well, the CA Labor Federation figured it out and gave him the boot.
But Daly wasn’t the only Democrat to get the cold shoulder from the Labor Federation. Termed out Assemblyman Jose Solorio showed up and quickly left after getting mad dogged by most of the crowd. And SOAR-backed candidate Jordan Brandman stopped by, then acted rude – talking over the other speakers.
OC Labor isn’t going to back these hacks. Good for them. They aren’t done interviewing candidates, but they do seem to be done with Daly – and I don’t see them backing Solorio in his race for the Rancho Santiago Community College Board of Education either.
Brandman has a lot more to worry about. The people of Anaheim are in an uproar and they are figuring out that SOAR-backed candidates are not with the people of Anaheim, period.
One candidate who is standing with the people of Anaheim is Daly’s opponent, Jose “Joe” Moreno, who unlike Daly is a member of a union, that is affiiated with the AFL-CIO. Wouldn’t that be something if the Labor Federation endorses Moreno? They should do so without hesitation!
I don’t think he is the Democratic nominee because I remember he lost out to Julio Perez.
He should consider getting the Nomination of the people or groups who are supporting him:
The rich Developers nominee.
The Soar Nominee
The Chevron Nominee
The Republican Consultant Nominee (his campaign consultant John Lewis and supporters Dick Ackerman)
The one million spent in June targeted mostly White Republican voters so he should try and became their nominee as well.
I don’t think he would get the Democratic nomination given his two faced campaigning but then again some groups have no backbone.
OK Greg “DEMOCRAT” Diamond.
Julio Won?
Sounds like more of the same from a SORE LOSER.
Where is Julio? He certainly is quiet about the civil unrest you and the other “WHITES” are promoting in another city.
How’s the view from brea Greg? You pretend like you struggle from the Warsaw ghetto, but you are a pig like the rest of the political hacks.
Good luck with your riots!
