ORANGE COUNTY FIREFIGHTERS ENDORSE TOM DALY FOR STATE ASSEMBLY
The Orange County Professional Firefighters Association Represents 900 Firefighters, Providing Service To 24 Orange County Cities, Including Santa Ana
SANTA ANA – Orange County Clerk-Recorder (and former Anaheim Mayor) Tom Daly announced today that the Orange County Professional Firefighters Association (OCPFA) has endorsed his campaign for State Assembly. The organization represents over 900 firefighters, providing service to 24 different cities in Orange County, including Santa Ana.
“Tom Daly is a strong advocate for public safety,” said Tony Bedolla, Political Affairs Director for the County Firefighter Association. “With his extensive experience as Mayor of Anaheim and Orange County Clerk-Recorder, we believe he will hit the ground running in Sacramento, having an immediate impact representing us and Orange County in the State Legislature.”
“I am honored to have earned the support of the Orange County Professional Firefighters Association,” said Tom Daly. “The service they provide our community is truly invaluable. I look forward to working with them to make public safety a top priority in the State Assembly.”
Daly’s campaign for the 69th State Assembly District in central Orange County has been endorsed by a broad coalition of local community leaders, business leaders, and elected officials, including State Assemblyman Jose Solorio, who currently represents the Assembly District but is termed out and cannot seek re-election.
Daly has served as Orange County’s Clerk-Recorder since 2002. He previously served as the directly elected Mayor of Anaheim for ten years. The 69th State Assembly District includes portions of the cities of Anaheim, Garden Grove, Orange, and Santa Ana.

This union also endorsed Julio Perez for assembly you pendayoo. Are you saying Jullio isn’t Latino?
Pérez doesn’t matter. He is unelectable.
If Julio would come out of the closet, he’d have more credibility.
I can’t understand why he and his supporters are dancing around the sexuality issue. Don’t you think Daly is going to clobber him with the “fag” thing.
If there is nothing wrong with being GAY, why doesn’t just come out and say it.
Instead, you have two bit losers from OUTSIDE THE DISTRICT using terms like “Gay Baiting”. What is the deal, can this guy tellthe truth.
There is a cloud of dishonesty surrounding Julio Perez, his union backers and his clever lawyer friends. He looks like Romney, AFRAID TO TALK TO THE PEOPLE.
By some accounts they refused to support the only GAY canidate in the race too!
I am still waiting for someone other than his chosen defender GREG DIAMOND speak to Julio’s sexuality.
One thing that the 69th DOESN’T need is another HATER.
So whats the deal Perez? Gay or not?
Is Perez Gay?
Here is what Tom Daly said about the city’s firefighters union efforts while on the city council in Anaheim.
“It’s clear to me that my colleagues have sold their souls to the labor unions,” Daly said a day after the vote. “It was 100% political. The employee unions wrote the script and Mr. Hunter read every word of it.”
Daly went on to call the action “one of the worst moments in Anaheim history.”
The OC Tax Association just supported him as well
On their website they have tons of information of public pension, listing it as a serious problem.
The OCTax’s advice to taxpayers and voters: “Whenever you meet or correspond with your elected representative, ask what he or she will do about excessive public employee pensions. You’ll get a knowledgeable answer, but it’s likely to be vague about actual steps. Don’t stop there. Demand specifics. Then tell your representative that your vote in the next election will depend on his or her actions on this long-ignored problem.”
So Tm Daly has the support of Firefighters and the support of an anti-public pension Firefighters group.
I would equate this to Nativo Lopez and Barbara Coe agreeing on a candidate’s stance on immigration.
Either someone is being lied to or someone is getting paid off for their support.
