LOCAL BUSINESSMAN SET TO CHALLENGE LORETTA SANCHEZ
JORGE ROCHA 2012 COMMITTEE FORMS
SANTA ANA, CA – March 15, 2012 – Jorge Rocha announced that he is running for the 46th US Congressional District in the Primary election to be held on June 5, 2012. He believes the highly populated Hispanic-American district is ready to be led by a more conservative, pro-business and pro-education representative. Loretta Sanchez is not properly representing the interests of all US citizens in the district and, is out of touch with the true needs of the community that she now represents. After 16 years of basically doing nothing relevant for the community, it is time for REAL positive change to come to citizens of the 46th District in Orange County.
Jorge Rocha is a longtime Orange County resident. He immigrated from Guanajuato, Mexico in 1967 with his parents, Manuel and Maria Rocha. The fourth of eight children, Mr. Rocha attended Los Amigos High School in Fountain Valley where he excelled in academics and athletics. He graduated and continued on to California State Fullerton, University (CSUF) on a soccer scholarship where he excelled in academics and was a member of the top rated Division 1 soccer team.
Upon graduating from CSUF with a degree in Business Administration, Mr. Rocha went on to work with the California State Board of Equalization in Santa Ana as a tax auditor. After six years of service with the State Board of Equalization, Mr. Rocha ventured out into the business world and successfully established Azteca Tax Service & Azteca Realty, located in the city of Fountain Valley. Mr. Rocha has been a long term resident of Santa Ana.
