In fact he got lucky this week when the California Secretary of State announced the results of her randomized alphabet drawing for candidate order on the June 5 open primary ballot. Allen will be listed first on the ballot and Edgar will be dead last, behind fellow Republican Long Pham, who resides in Fountain Valley.
Democratic candidate Joe Dovinh scored too, as he will be listed second on the ballot, ahead of Pham.
According to his online bio, Allen is a Certified Financial Planner and the President of the Wealth Strategies Group, a wealth management firm located in Costa Mesa, California. The Wealth Strategies Group specializes in conservative investment management and corporate 401k, health, and disability plans. Securities are offered through Securities America Incorporated, member FINRA and SIPC. Accounts are carried with National Financial Services LLC (NFS), a Fidelity Investments Company.
I am not so sure that being connected to Wall Street is necessarily a good thing right now, given the massive problems our national economy has had with crooked bankers, unethical mortgage executives and greedy stock traders. But Allen must think otherwise – he even has posed with out of touch rich guy Mitt Romney (pictured above this post).
We previously reported that Allen has donated to Democratic campaigns, repeatedly, for several years. And Edgar was a Democrat until changing parties and becoming a Republican in 2006. Pham has been a lifelong Republican, since he came to the U.S. And Dovinh was a Decline to State voter for years before switching to the Democratic Party. These guys were made for the open primary!
